Tôi đang ngồi lướt web thì đùng một phát, một người bạn báo cho tin mừng là con trai anh ta vừa ra đời. Thật là tuyệt vời!

Anh bạn kia và tôi quen nhau mới chỉ vài năm, và cũng ở xa vời vợi (ổng ở Việt Nam mà.) Vậy mà vẫn mừng cho ổng quá. Thế mà hồi ấy cưới vợ ổng cứ la ầm ĩ lên như vào tù ấy ^^ :D


Chúc mừng đại ca! Một sinh linh bé bỏng nữa lại ra đời trong sự mong mỏi đợi chờ. Tương lai ngập tràn ánh sáng đang chờ đón em nơi xa kia, với bao sự thương yêu và mồ hôi nước mắt của cha mẹ em. Bác Hồ đã nói rằng tương lai đất nước mình hiện nay phụ thuộc vào thế hệ của chúng tôi. Như chúng tôi vẫn đang cố gắng phấn đấu từng ngày đây, em và thế hệ của em sẽ tiếp tục nối bước để đất nước chúng ta thêm mạnh mẽ và giàu có, tôi tin là vậy. Em đã ra đời rồi, chào mừng em!

Đời sao trôi nhanh đến vậy. Ông bạn kia mới lấy vợ ngày nào, nay đã có cháu bé lù lù một đống đấy (:D). Đời anh từ nay sẽ sang một trang khác, bao khái niệm, ý nghĩa, mơ ước của cuộc đời trong mắt anh cũng sẽ đổi thay nhanh chóng.
Uhm, tôi vẫn đang ngồi đây một mình. Mỗi khi thành công, tôi quay lại đằng sau và chẳng thấy bóng dáng người con gái nào. Sẽ lấy vợ và có con sao? Có ai đang đợi một mình tôi trong cuộc đời này không? Thật ra, nếu tôi cứ tiếp tục phấn đấu, cố gắng theo đúng hướng, mọi thứ rồi sẽ tốt đẹp thôi, phải không? Làn tuyết xanh nơi xa kia, sẽ rơi mãi trong tôi, có phải không?
Nghĩ ngợi thế thôi, ngày vui mà cứ nghĩ chuyện buồn mãi sao được? Tôi nhoẻn miệng cười nhìn ông bạn đang nhe răng hô hố vì sung sướng.

How are you doing on your readings in general and more specifically in developing your vocabularies? Recently I started reading a book for my Finance class called The End of Wall Street by Roger Lowenstein. In the very first chapter of the book – a short 6-page prologue, there were many words that I did not know, and I am listing them here: destitute somnolent bulwark scrutinize (to) prick quiescent laudatory salient fervent (adj) frothy parlance umbilical (cord) placate carnage plenitude opiate dictum stupendous I was so surprised to see so many new words in such a small amount of pages! How is this Roger Lowenstein guy? You would think that while reading a finance book, the only words you would stumble upon are technical terms or lingos. Or maybe I am just bad. How many words in the list above that you already know?

It's Hard to Share!

I like to share. It’s not like donating stuffs (it’s good too) but more like… introducing to other people what I find interesting. So actually this post’s title should be: “ It’s Hard to… Introduce ”, but it wouldn’t sound as good. So there you go. Songs, books, movies, games… Whenever I find one interesting I’d love to show it to another person – like a “maven”*, if you know the term, even though I am not as specialized and valuable. It’s pretty much become a hobby of mine. “ Hey, you want to hang out? Come to my place and I’ll show you this awesome video clip I found last week!” And one day I finally realized the ugly truth, and I am sharing it with you right now. Origami Extreme - Part 08!!!

The other day, I came to watch some of my friends performing in the play called The Birds, and it was really fun! So I decided to make another Origami collection; this time it’s about birds – small birds which (supposedly) are all nice and peaceful. Anyway, I love things that fly. Talking about Origami, I now find myself avoiding overly-complicated models each of which would take days to complete. Instead, I’d go for fairly simple ones which are fast to make and still look really nice. That’s why I like more and more the models of John Montroll: really efficient.   PART 08: THE LITTLE BIRD   CURLEW by Tom Defoirdt – I had no idea that a curlew was.
