Yesterday some more

Giữa dòng bề bộn của cuộc đời, tự nhiên bao kí ức thời cấp ba lại hiện về. Quá khứ ơi, biết bao giờ trở lại…?
Tự nhiên thấy thèm được đá cầu quá. Chỉ mới hôm qua thôi, tôi đi đến lớp từ sớm để còn …”dành sân” với tụi B13, còn vừa đá cầu vừa hả họng cười hô hố với DF. Vẫn rõ rệt ngay cạnh bên là DO tưng cầu rất ư quái chiêu và hài hước. Trước mặt tôi đây là DW, vẫn giở trò “quỳ lạy” làm cả bọn bò lăn ra mà “khóc”. Và cả DN nữa… ôi, sao mà nhớ quá!...
Rồi lại thèm được …hót (!). Mới hôm qua là cả bọn đã cùng chui vào Nice mà gào, rống, và …cào thẻ (thẻ nhỏ xinh xinh cào số lấy quà ấy :D). Và rồi có mấy bài mà cả bọn cứ hát đi hát lại mãi không chán . Văng vẳng bên tai vẫn là “Ảo mộng tình yêu”, “25 minutes”, “Vầng trăng khóc”… chẳng thể quên được. Làm sao có thể quên chứ, khi mà mỗi khi DK hát là bị… chê bai sỉ nhục đến bơ mặt chó T_T, để rồi còn cảm thấy mình tội nghiệp hơn mỗi khi “thằng” BL vừa rống vừa được nguyên một bầy hò reo cổ vũ =.=’ Vậy mà vẫn nhớ quá…
Và cả đi “cứu thế giới” nữa. Sự nghiệp “dành máy chơi game” vốn dan díu từ thời cấp hai bé bỏng, đã được một lũ cấp ba chúng tôi tiếp tục. Star Craft 1, Warcraft III… vẫn còn hiện lên rõ ràng ngay trước mắt. Tất cả buổi chiều sẽ mãi mưa tầm tã, tôi cố gắng đạp con xe cũ kĩ dưới lớp áo mưa lùm thùm, nín cười muốn bể be sườn khi thằng DO ngồi sau cứ “ối á hự hự” vì đường xấu…
Chỉ là hôm qua thôi! Mới hôm qua đây mà sao đã xa vời quá! Cuộc đời trôi đi để mỗi người mỗi ngả, ai sẽ nhớ và ai sẽ quên đây? Sẽ có một ngày mai khi bạn bè chúng ta gặp nhau, sẽ có còn những điều đã qua trở lại? Ôi, cô gái đến từ hôm qua! Ôi, cậu trai đến từ hôm qua! Và nhiều nhiều cô gái và cậu trai khác nữa! Tất cả mỉm cười rồi chợt vụt mất ngay. Bạn ơi!...
Nơi đây tôi đang nhảy múa, đang quay mòng giữa cơn mưa thét gào, đợi ngày hôm qua trở lại…

How are you doing on your readings in general and more specifically in developing your vocabularies? Recently I started reading a book for my Finance class called The End of Wall Street by Roger Lowenstein. In the very first chapter of the book – a short 6-page prologue, there were many words that I did not know, and I am listing them here: destitute somnolent bulwark scrutinize (to) prick quiescent laudatory salient fervent (adj) frothy parlance umbilical (cord) placate carnage plenitude opiate dictum stupendous I was so surprised to see so many new words in such a small amount of pages! How is this Roger Lowenstein guy? You would think that while reading a finance book, the only words you would stumble upon are technical terms or lingos. Or maybe I am just bad. How many words in the list above that you already know?

It's Hard to Share!

I like to share. It’s not like donating stuffs (it’s good too) but more like… introducing to other people what I find interesting. So actually this post’s title should be: “ It’s Hard to… Introduce ”, but it wouldn’t sound as good. So there you go. Songs, books, movies, games… Whenever I find one interesting I’d love to show it to another person – like a “maven”*, if you know the term, even though I am not as specialized and valuable. It’s pretty much become a hobby of mine. “ Hey, you want to hang out? Come to my place and I’ll show you this awesome video clip I found last week!” And one day I finally realized the ugly truth, and I am sharing it with you right now. Origami Extreme - Part 08!!!

The other day, I came to watch some of my friends performing in the play called The Birds, and it was really fun! So I decided to make another Origami collection; this time it’s about birds – small birds which (supposedly) are all nice and peaceful. Anyway, I love things that fly. Talking about Origami, I now find myself avoiding overly-complicated models each of which would take days to complete. Instead, I’d go for fairly simple ones which are fast to make and still look really nice. That’s why I like more and more the models of John Montroll: really efficient.   PART 08: THE LITTLE BIRD   CURLEW by Tom Defoirdt – I had no idea that a curlew was.
